I'm sure other people have written about this already, but there's sort of a poetic justice to the reports about Iceland's volcano shutting down Europe's airspace. Nearly a year and a half after the UK froze Iceland's assets and only months after reports of emigration from Iceland hitting record levels, it's almost as though the island has had enough and is striking back. If Nature is waking up and striking back, Europe is screwed!
That's not nice.
We're all connected. I heard a refrain from an old Curtis Mayfield song the other day while going through the iPod. "If there's a hell below, we're all gonna go."
If there's terrible weather in one part of the world - it's gonna impact the other. For example, I saw on the news that the interruption on air traffic in Europe was impacting Kenya's flower and produce markets because they import food and flowers to Europe so...

Our connection is what I was getting at. European reaction to Iceland's financial situation was knee-jerk and cruel...and in the long run has proven ineffective. Greece is dragging down Europe and Spain looks like it might, too. Nature has reminded us of another layer of the connection.
Perhaps "poetic justice" is too strong of a term. But there was a karmic quality to the situation.
